The Scotland Bill: why should non-Scottish based businesses care?

Debate about devolution of corporation tax in Scotland and Northern Ireland has received much airplay in recent months.

However as the various political parties and stakeholders make their case for or against such a major shift in the UK tax system the proposals which are already in the Scotland Bill and the impact these could have on businesses outside Scotland as well as those within are escaping unnoticed by many.

The changes proposed in the Scotland Bill follow recommendations made by the Calman Commission on Scottish devolution and have been designed to improve the fiscal responsibility of the Scottish government.
