The Social Security (Contribution Conditions for Jobseeker's Allowance and Employment and Support Allowance) Regulations, SI 2011/2682 come into force on 1 January 2012, and will enable certain spouses or civil partners of members of the armed forces to satisfy the NICs first contribution condition in relation to claims for jobseeker's allowance and employment and support allowance.
