Budget analysis: Policy issues

The Chancellor’s Budget was one of the most heavily trailed in years, but the red box still contained a few surprises. The additional cut in the corporation tax rate and the government’s continued focus on the international environment, reinforces the message that the UK is open for business. Even with so much pre-announced, the Budget still looks set to remain the centre of attention for many years to come.
