Company and LLP filing requirements

The Companies and Limited Liability Partnerships (Filing Requirements) Regulations, SI 2016/599, apply to limited liability partnerships and unregistered companies various company filing simplifications introduced by the Small Business, Enterprise and Employment Act 2015 with effect from 30 June 2016. The main changes:

·        allow companies to update their basic information through a confirmation statement, in place of the requirement to deliver an annual return to Companies House; and

·        allow companies to keep information on members, directors etc on the public register only, rather than on the company’s own register.
