The President of the Tax and Chancery Chamber in the Upper Tribunal, Mr Justice Zacaroli, has published a Practice Note on electronic filing of documents in the Chamber using CE-File.
CE-File is an online system for filing documents electronically at the Upper Tribunal, allowing tribunal users to access all their cases easily and is a permitted method for delivery of documents to the tribunal.
For proceedings commenced after 17 May 2021, any party or their representative may use CE-File to provide documents to the tribunal. They may also use it in other proceedings where the tribunal has invited the party or representative to use CE-File.
The new Practice Note explains how to register and use CE-file and how it interacts with the Upper Tribunal rules on delivery of documents.
