Entitlement to SSP: further coronavirus measure

Individuals who are required to self-isolate for up to 14 days before being admitted to hospital for a planned procedure are entitled to statutory sick pay during that period (as a period during which they will be unable to work), with effect from 26 August. The Statutory Sick Pay (General) (Coronavirus Amendment) (No 6) Regulations, SI 2020/892 introduce the change.
