Iceland and Romania are the latest jurisdictions to officially sign a FATCA intergovernmental agreement (IGA) with the US, with both IGAs being based on model 1A IGA. Prior to this, Iceland and Romania had reached agreements in substance with the US for a Model 1A IGA and the US Treasury had treated both countries as having IGAs in effect from 11 November 2014 and 2 April 2014 respectively.
