Business Brief 19/05 has recently been published and it has brought some good news for the charity sector. The brief confirms that HMRC will not appeal the decision of the High Court in the Church of England Children's Society VAT case. This opens the way for charities to reclaim VAT on costs related to fund-raising at least in part which would otherwise have been irrecoverable.
