As Simon Cope-Thompson discusses in his article elsewhere in this issue it is likely that we are going to see an increasing number of distressed sales and sales out of administrations. Once the dust of the transaction has settled the buyer will want to focus on revitalising the ailing business. An incentivised management team will be crucial to the success of any such strategy and share incentive packages can play an important role in helping to achieve this.
