For complex cases, ‘in exceptional circumstances’ taxpayers may now have an additional 90 days from notification in which to make a disclosure, giving up to 180 days in total. Taxpayers should contact HMRC on 0300 322 7012 to check their eligibility for this additional time.
A check box has also been added to the disclosure form for taxpayers to declare if they are receiving tax credits.
