The IMF, OECD, UN and World Bank Group joint initiative ‘platform for collaboration on tax’ is consulting until 8 July 2016 on a set of recommended strategies for delivering revenue improvement in developing countries. A detailed analysis will be submitted for the G20 finance ministers meeting in July. The discussion draft seeks views on matters including:
· the balance of roles for governments, technical development assistance providers, donor countries/agencies and other stakeholders;
· whether managerial knowledge and skills are as important as technical skills; and
· whether current tools for the effective measurement and evaluation of capacity support are adequate.
