HMRC is to begin rolling out its new ‘Manage and register pension schemes’ service on 8 May 2018. The new service is intended to replace the pension schemes online service completely after 2020.
From 8 May, the service will be open for applications to register pension schemes. Registration via the existing pension schemes online service will no longer be possible after 4 May 2018.
From April 2019, scheme administrators will be able to use the new service for reporting, and practitioner access will become available between 2019 and 2020.
