The National Health Service Pension Schemes (Member Contributions etc) (Amendment) (No 3) Regulations, SI 2022/1028, extend the expiry date of the following temporary easements to NHS pensions regulations which aimed to facilitate the return to work of recently retired NHS staff during the Covid-19 pandemic:
suspension of the 16-hour rule and the draw-down abatement will be extended 31 March 2023; and
suspension of the special class status (SCS) officer abatement will be extended to 31 March 2025.
