Who in tax do you most admire?
A churchgoer has the Good Book for guidance. As a tax lawyer ever since I was a pupil whenever confronted with a strategic or tactical dilemma I’ve tended to ask myself ‘What would Jonathan Peacock do?’ It’s been a privilege working for so many years with such a generous equable and above all else able lawyer.
What are you working on at the moment?
I was appointed to the attorney general’s ‘A Panel’ earlier this year – the only pure tax specialist on the panel – and I’m presently tooling up for my first case for Her Majesty: a hearing on a QROPS matter.
