This article is the first in a series covering corporate insolvency topics for the tax practitioner. It describes the different types of insolvency procedure under English law and explaining commonly used terms. It also looks briefly at the duties of office holders in insolvency procedures and also explains the order of distribution of assets in a liquidation.
