Baker & McKenzie has expanded its tax team with two recent appointments: Paula Ruffel from HMRC’s Solicitor’s Office and Matthew Legg from Hogan Lovells. Both have joined as senior associates.

Andrew Thornton has been promoted to tax partner at Dentons. His practice covers all aspects of direct tax and VAT and he has specialist knowledge of tax in the energy sector, asset finance, financial markets, funds and tax litigation matters.

Boutique tax firm Frank Hirth has named Robyn Limmer as its new head of tax. She specialises in providing both UK and US tax advice to a growing number of high net worth individuals moving between both countries, and she currently works between the firm’s London and New York offices.

Dan Robertson has joined Baker Tilly as a tax partner from BDO. A corporate tax specialist on both UK and international tax issues, he has most recently specialised in the technology and media sector.
