Statutory sick pay

The Statutory Sick Pay (Coronavirus) (Funding of Employers’ Liabilities) (Amendment) Regulations and the Statutory Sick Pay (Coronavirus) (Funding of Employers’ Liabilities) (Northern Ireland) (Amendment) Regulations, SI 2020/1030, amend the Statutory Sick Pay (Coronavirus) (Funding of Employers’ Liabilities) Regulations, SI 2020/512, and the equivalent Regulations for Northern Ireland, to ensure employers can continue to reclaim SSP – bringing reclaims by employers into line with the recent SSP eligibility changes for individuals and aligning with European Commission changes to the state aid rules for SMEs in difficulty.
