The Major Sporting Events (Income Tax Exemption) (Women's Finalissima Football Match) Regulations, SI 2023/393, exempt from UK income tax the income of accredited individuals arising from the performance of duties in connection with the Women’s Finalissima 2023 football match, scheduled to kick off at Wembley Stadium on 6 April 2023.
The exemption applies for income arising in the UK between 2 and 7 April 2023 derived from the role for which the individual has been accredited (rather than giving a blanket exemption).
The exemption covers not only the players and staff of the respective national football associations, but also employees and contractors of UEFA and the commercial broadcasters.
