Although the Budget may have been aimed at winning the approval of the voters it has not been aimed at winning the approval of certain larger businesses.
At first glance there is not much in the Budget on VAT and certainly nothing which will attract much interest from the public at large but as ever a more detailed look at the provisions which did not make the headlines reveals that there are many which will cause anguish and gnashing of teeth from a number of tax directors and finance directors.
